The Journey of 2,000+ Miles Began With A Single Cookie...
Hi! I’m Lydda, Founder of Josephine’s Baking Co., but my friends and family call me "Mimi."
Originally from Venezuela, I built a career as an Electronics Engineer. After retiring, I pursued my passion for baking, earning the title of Professional Baker & Pastry Chef. Around that time, my 2-year-old nephew was diagnosed with a gluten allergy.
Gluten-free cookies in the market were too sugary, full of artificial ingredients and preservatives. Worst of all, they tasted like cardboard! So I started crafting gluten-free cookies using simple, all-natural ingredients that actually taste delicious. Friends and family loved them, and soon a family business was born!
Years of political and economic unrest in Venezuela forced my husband and I to move to the U.S. in search of safety and freedom. We settled in Quincy, MA near my daughter Andrea and grandchildren.
With a brand name and values in honor of my mother (Josefina), and my Andrea by my side, we founded Josephine's Baking Co. to bring our perfectly crafted cookies to you and your family!
